dSPACE

We are excited to announce that dissecto has become part of the dSPACE Group. dSPACE is expanding its portfolio to include cybersecurity solutions for embedded systems and has taken over the business of dissecto GmbH for this purpose. For us, this marks the beginning of a significant new chapter.

Customers in the automotive, agriculture, health, and manufacturing sectors will benefit from high-performance, end-to-end, and automated security testing workflows throughout the entire development process. dissecto technologies – in particular the scalable cybersecurity test framework for vehicle development, HydraVision – will be integrated with existing development and test solutions from dSPACE in the future.

“Cybersecurity is a key success factor in the development of modern, networked systems. With dissecto technologies, we can offer our customers an expanded portfolio with a highly specialized cybersecurity platform that optimally complements our offerings in the areas of validation and verification. In this way, we support manufacturers and suppliers in sustainably meeting the increasing safety requirements in the automotive industry,” says Carsten Hoff, CEO of dSPACE.

For dissecto, the integration into the dSPACE Group opens a new chapter of further development. “With the support of dSPACE, we can take our security testing solutions to a new level, scale them internationally, and integrate them even more deeply into existing development and test chains. Customer benefits include technological continuity and accelerated innovation,” explains Alexander Meisel, co-founder of dissecto.

Our perspective: What this means for dissecto

The acquisition represents the starting point for the next chapter of dissecto. Here are three key directions for our future within the dSPACE ecosystem:

A. Scaling our hardware and service business

With dSPACE’s global footprint and engineering depth, we will be able to scale both our hardware portfolio and our services, including consulting, training, and penetration testing.

B. Leveraging hardware synergies to grow in HIL and SIL

dSPACE’s established strength in HIL and SIL validation opens the door for much deeper integration of our technologies, especially HydraVision, enabling more robust and automated end-to-end cybersecurity validation workflows across the entire development cycle.

C. Accelerating innovation in our hardware lineup

Several upcoming hardware developments could also gain significant momentum through the collaboration with dSPACE. From new ideas in automotive cybersecurity hardware to early concepts around next-generation diagnostic interfaces — including a compact USB-to-OBD2 approach, and the evolution of HydraLink toward a more capable “PRO” variant — the roadmap ahead is filled with promise.

“These innovations will reach the market faster and in a much more scalable form thanks to dSPACE’s experience and global structure,” adds Alexander.

What stays the same

Our portfolio – including HydraVision, HydraLink, HydraHat, and HydraProbe, as well as training, consulting, and pentesting services – will be continued and further developed. Existing customers will retain their contacts and can continue to rely on the expertise and support of our team, which will remain in a competence and development center at the existing Regensburg site.
